Abstract photography is also called as concrete photography. It is non-representational in nature and generally takes the photographer and the viewer to a place which is out of the box.  So, here the intention of the photographer is not conveying anything or proving anything real. But when the viewer watches the photograph, there should be visual satisfaction.

Where is abstract photography used?

The field of abstract photography has become quite broad after the advent of DSLR cameras. Actually, this form of paintings and photography has been around since decades. But now, there are just no bounds and artists and the photographers can go to any extent to show their work of art. I am proud to say that the age in which we live, people just do not fear to do any experimentation. By doing different experiments in abstracts a lot can be achieved and hence, art galleries always welcome the best abstract work of arts!

Who are the best abstract photographers in the world?

I personally follow Jackie Ranken. He is an Australian photographer and is good in the field of abstracts. Even though he also does landscape and wedding photography, his real artistic touch will be felt in his abstract photography.

Then I also like the work of Angie McMonigal. She has a very good hand at her gear and with that she can create fine arts and even the commercial ones. The way she uses the shapes and the arrangements are just spellbound.

Now, opt for panning and see how amazingly you get the blur effect. ISO you will have to set at 100. Experiment and see how the effect is!
