Best 4 creative photography tricks you can try for unusual effects
1. Blur when you want to go creative
Who said blur is not recommended? Well, if you want to test a new road while you are ready for a shot then just make use of blur. This is what I say as blur on purpose. You can try different techniques here like, blurring the background or blurring the subject or blurring the image. You can play with the shutter speed to get the desired effect. Either you can slow down the speed or you can enhance the speed. Try and experiment with both the ideas and see which one gives you the most satisfying result. Here the challenge is how blurring can have an effect on the image and how it can look different and yet creative enough!
2. Work in the dark
The biggest challenge for a photographer is to work in low light situations. When I started taking clicks I always perfected the lights first and then only I would work over the other things. But now, after years of experience, I have realized that dark is beautiful. Sometimes, working in dark would bring out a story or may be would enhance the importance of subject in a very different way. I love the way Gavin Hoey has shown the importance of low key and low lights while taking a portrait. Just have a look at this video. Also, online, he provides one to one training via Gavtrain. This would be a treat for budding photographers for sure.

3. Hydrating your images well
When I say hydrating the images, I really don’t mean showering water on it! Well, most of the time a photographer would work on the landscape and would take shots of mountains, land, trees and so on. But if you use water as the foreground element then the reflection of water would create magic in your shot. In fact, I feel that by adding water as an intricate part of the image would add more drama and impact in the images. If you want to be bolder enough then you can also try the mirror image shots like this one as given in the image.
4. Concentrate on an emotion
At the inception I was just a photographer who would shoot vivid images. But I never knew that emotions should be intrinsic part of every shot that you take. So, when you are planning to take an image, just focus on one emotion and then see how it can be evident in the final result. Like, if in an image you are focusing on happiness then take a couple of such images using similar lightness and consistency. With the combination of those two images you should be able to tell a story.
Shooting from different perspectives and trying different styles of photography would always keep you motivated and thus creative photography tricks would help you stay motivated and keep the creative juices flowing.
